At Angle Auto, change is constant. As a relatively young business preparing for further growth, the team is managing a fast-moving mix of technology and non-technology change across the organization. What began as a single change manager role has grown into a broader enterprise change team covering change, process improvement, continuous improvement, and learning and development.

With so much change moving at once, the team needed a better way to bring structure, visibility, and consistency to how change was managed. That was especially important in an environment where the pace was high, the tech agenda was intense, and a surprisingly large share of change was non-technology related.

The challenge

Before ChangePlan, the team was relying on a patchwork of manual tools and processes to manage change. Information lived across SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and other artifacts, with different tools being used for different parts of the same piece of work. That made the process tedious, fragmented, and harder to maintain as change volume increased.

The challenge was not only keeping track of what was changing. It was doing that in a way that could scale, support short timeframes, and reduce the admin load on a team that was already covering multiple disciplines. Without a shared platform, too much effort was being spent stitching together plans, activities, and reports instead of focusing on the human side of change.

“We had a lot of manual processes … SharePoint, PowerPoint packs, Excel spreadsheets … and so it’s tedious.”

— Tina Leonardi, National Manager, Enterprise Change & Comms

Why ChangePlan

Angle Auto was looking for a platform where the team could manage change in one place rather than across disconnected files and trackers. What stood out about ChangePlan early was its simplicity. The interface felt intuitive, easy to navigate, and better suited to the realities of change work than more complicated alternatives.

The team also valued having a Change Canvas that could support lower-impact work without requiring a full plan every time. For a team handling a wide mix of initiatives, that flexibility mattered. It meant they could use the same platform for both lighter-touch changes and more complex work.

How the team uses it

ChangePlan has become the central place where Angle Auto puts its change information, creating a more consistent source of truth for the team. Even though some intake information still begins in SharePoint, the team is happy to move that information into ChangePlan because the value of having everything in one place outweighs the extra step.

That has been especially useful in a business where short regulatory and compliance-driven timeframes can cause plans to shift quickly. With ChangePlan, the team can adjust dates and keep the core strategy intact, rather than having to rebuild materials from scratch whenever something moves.

The structure of the platform has also improved leadership visibility. Missing dates, incomplete fields, and gaps in planning are easier to spot when work sits inside a shared system rather than in a spreadsheet on someone’s desktop. That gives team leaders a clearer line of sight into what has been done, what is missing, and where follow-up is needed.

“I don’t want to spend my time doing that. I want to spend my time connecting with the right people in the business, bringing people along for the journey … not creating a macro with colours.”

— Tina Leonardi, National Manager, Enterprise Change & Comms

What changed

For Angle Auto, ChangePlan has started to shift change work away from fragmented, manual administration and toward a more connected and scalable way of working. The team now has one place to hold key change information, a simpler way to navigate the work, and a platform that supports both consistency and flexibility.

Just as importantly, the platform helps the team spend less energy on maintaining disconnected artifacts and more energy on the work that matters most: engaging stakeholders, shaping the change narrative, and helping people move through change successfully. That is especially valuable for a growing business where the change team needs to stay focused on outcomes, not file management.

Angle Auto is still early in its journey with ChangePlan, but the direction is already clear. The platform is helping the team move away from spreadsheet-heavy ways of working and build a stronger foundation for managing change as the business grows.
